Today (President’s Day 2025) there were a dedicated group of supporters standing out in the cold and wind to show their love and support for Klondike National Park employees!
Reed worked for the Park Service for 35 years retiring from KLGO in 2012, and I worked for several years here and there. We are shocked by the behavior of the current administration towards the NPS dedicated employees. Imagine the thought that the Visitor Center in Skagway will have to be closed this coming summer to the 1 million visitors. A lack of seasonal interpreters and maintenance staff will certainly have a big effect to tourists and the town’s community.
